LANDOWNERS, BUSINESS LEADERS, LABOR ORGANIZATIONS and CITIZENS OF NEW YORK
The purpose of this website is to provide voters of New York State with a list of politicians who have chosen to put their own interests ahead of the interests of the common good for our citizens and the economy of our great state by openly opposing the exploration and development of our natural gas resources.
New York State currently has some of the most stringent environmental protections in place for natural gas exploration, and those protections will be further enhanced with the release of the sGEIS. These politicians continue to seek and deny New York State landowners of their private property rights and deny businesses and citizens of economic prosperity.
At risk is BILLIONS of dollars in tax revenue, positive economic impacts, and thousands of high paying jobs. These politicians have chosen to endanger the livelihood of distressed landowners and farmers which will result in out-of-state land speculators who care nothing about our land and will seek only to maximize their investment at the expense of our land and our communities.
The decisions being made by these politicians affect not only the financial well-being of our great state, but also threaten our national security. By denying New york State the ability to develop our own domestic energy resources, their decisions and actions further increase our dependency on foreign energy. Our country is already involved in two wars over this issue yet these politicians continue forward making decisions in their own self interest.
For these reasons, it is time that WE the citizens and voters of New York State unite together against these politicians and send a strong message to Albany that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and vote these politicians OUT OF OFFICE!
Please help compile a list of these types of politicians by sending an email with the name of the politicians who have publicly stated their opposition against developing our domestic energy resources or who have taken action by casting a vote for anti-drilling legislation.
